What is MoFest?
Back in 2005, the Chicago production community was abuzz with the idea of creating its own film festival. Mo Wagdy (back then an entry-level production assitant or PA) decided to take the reigns and organize “Produktion Fest” (sic) at a small community theater. One of the 35 attendees coined the term “MoFest” and the name stuck ever since.
Who we are!
MoFest has grown into one of film production’s biggest parties, where the crowd has nearly doubled every year. Producers, crew, executives, vendors - and yes - PA’s, gather annually and celebrate this insane business we’re a part of - and the friends, family, and coworkers that help us get through it.
